A 5 minute walk takes you to the Maalaea Harbor, where you will find a small grocery store, deli, craft market, restaurants and the Maui Ocean Center (Maui’s #1 tourist attraction), the Pacific Whale Foundation, miniature golf, shopping and most of the ocean activities available on Maui (sunset dinner cruises, deep sea fishing, snorkeling tours & whale watching).

Hono Kai B3 is DIRECT OCEANFRONT, BEACHFRONT! You can't get any closer to the ocean than our condo! You are steps away from Sugar Beach. The Hono Kai complex is a gem with its central location and its fantastic trade winds. They provide a cooling breeze that keeps the temperatures just right. From the lanai, gaze out and watch the sun rise over Haleakala. Watch green sea turtles bobbing up for air and rolling in the surf. In the winter months (Nov-April) you will have a front row seat to breaching whales. Slip into the pool and enjoy the ocean view while you relax in the Maui sun. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils, pots, pans, blender and all of the other basic supplies to comfortably enjoy cooking and eating in. There is also a great BBQ area oceanfront so you can enjoy the view while you cook up some delicious food! Our stay was wonderful and restful and exactly what our family needed. Great space for the four of us, excellent location on the beach, and close enough to any services we needed. Appreciate the available parking for our rental car. Minor issues- kitchen faucet cracked but worked fine, shower heads not very strong and the upstairs a/c unit stopped working- but nothing that took away from our stay in paradise. I only mention these things because it can be a big deal to someone else but to us it's just minor wear and tear. The decor was light and bright, beds comfortable, ceiling fans and open windows were perfect! Falling asleep listening to crashing waves is better than an a/c humming anyway. Melanie was responsive, kind and helpful. We were very comfortable and enjoyed everything about our stay!

We had the best stay at this Airbnb! The views and location on the water was incredible and accurate to the photos. The space was clean and felt very comfortable to be in! Melanie was wonderful with responses to any questions. I would 100% stay here again! Highly recommend!! Thank you Melanie!!

Centrally located, Maalaea is a place of stay that makes getting anywhere on the island easy. You will be 15 minutes from the airport; a 5 minute drive south to Kihei and a bit further, the resorts of Wailea. You couldn’t be in a better location to explore all Maui has to offer.
